AGV Trucks - Innovative solutions for autonomous handling
AGV Trucks - Innovative solutions for autonomous handling
Aprolis is one of the few AGV players with its own AGV department. Our team of 18 experts, based in France, is dedicated to providing the most appropriate intralogistics solutions to meet our customers' automation needs. AGV studies and deployment are carried out in coordination with the various departments involved (production, logistics, DSi).
Our solutions include the implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS), integrating complete management of flows and stocks into the processes.

AGV, standing for Automatic Guided Vehicles, refers to fully automatic handling trucks used for moving, transporting and racking all load types in factories, warehouses and logistics and distribution centres.
These trucks communicate with other equipment such as conveyors, logic controllers, ERP and WMS systems and operate by interfacing with the operators.

AGV applications by industry sector
Automotive industry
A seamless solution for production sites and their Tier 1 subcontractors.
E-commerce and distribution logistics
Meet the challenges of industry with AGV trucks adapted to multi SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) management.
Food and drink industry
Connect your intra-logistics operations from production to dispatch and improve your quality control.
Pharmaceutical and perfume & cosmetics industry
A high-tech range designed for applications that comply with pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry standards.
Steel and aluminium industry
Reliable, precise automation solutions for safe, damage-free handling.
Transport and logistics
Our highly integrated systems (ERP, WMS) will meet your expectations in terms of handling, traceability and services.
Aeronautics and aerospace
Total control of your goods, quality handling and optimum safety thanks to our autonomous trucks.
Electronics industry
Autonomous trucks are the industrial foundation of the digital revolution, supporting your assembly and integration activities.
Features of connected AGVs
Our secure IT systems connect our AGVs to our customers' operating systems (ERP, WMS, MES). They also communicate with production PLCs, terminals and other operator interfaces.

AGV supervision and integration system
Connected to our customers' host systems, our supervision system manages dialogue with their information systems, assigns different orders to the AGVs, chooses the routes to take and manages traffic between the autonomous trucks.
Increased productivity with AGVs connected to the WMS
AGV trucks connected to the warehouse management system increase productivity, reduce stocks, optimise the use of storage areas and reduce picking errors.
Benefits:
- Goods availability
- Deliveries always on time (tight flow)
- Optimised flows
- Reduction of non-quality costs
- Monitoring of goods held up at quality
- Adaptation of clamp pressure to type of paper
- Impossibility of shipping goods awaiting quality control
- Saves storage volume by dynamic stock allocation
- Real-time inventory

AGVs - Robotic handling
Since the early 2010s, Aprolis has felt the winds of automation sweeping through the forklift truck sector, not only in France but throughout the world.
So, almost 50 years after the American Arthur Mac Barrett Jr. "invented" the first automatically guided vehicle, Aprolis created its own range of solutions to support its customers in deploying AGVs.
Today, AGVs can be used for a wide range of applications: stacking, towing, rolling, pallet handling, etc. The range of autonomous forklift-trucks available, equipped with increasingly powerful guidance systems and a wider range of options, means that today's industrial and logistics challenges can be met with greater flexibility, agility, safety and performance.
We invite you to download our white paper and find out more about our ranges of AGV trucks, turtles and tractors.
